A versatile bed frame for kids
Offer your guests a great night's sleep in a new guest bed that's easy to maintain and set up.
Our folding beds are incredibly easy to assemble and restore to their previous position. Simply remove any cushions you may have and fold the bed flat, ready for your guest.
A kids’ guest bed is a versatile choice too, functioning as a comfy seat during the day and a snug sleeping space at night.
The benefits of kids’ guest beds
Mixing both comfort and practicality, there are many reasons to love a guest kid. Some of the main advantages include:
Space-saving design: As mentioned, a kids' guest bed is designed to double up as a seat for the day and a bed for the night. This means that you can save space, not having to buy separate items of furniture for the guest room. These pull-out beds can also be used for storage, with the classic day bed frame being paired with two spacious classic single drawers. These can be used for organising everything from children's toys to clothes and bedding.
Perfect for guests: Easily converted for a soothing night’s rest, a kids’ guest bed is a perfect choice for hosting friends and family. Some can even be found with trundles underneath, which create an extra sleeping area without taking up extra floor space when it’s not needed. When it’s home time, simply slide the trundle back into place.
Stylish and durable: With their clean and neutral colouring, a kids’ guest bed will blend naturally into any child’s room. The use of quality materials and fittings means that, not only do these beds look great, they’ll last for years, too.
Considerations when buying a guest bed for kids
Room size and layout: While a kids’ guest bed is a great space-saving choice, it’s advised to check and make sure that it will fit comfortably within the guest room. On average, the guest room is the smallest room in the house, so make sure there’s enough space when the bed is pulled out, with no obstruction of doors, windows, or walking space.
Safety features: Being fairly low to the ground, there’s very minimal risk when sitting or lying on a children’s guest bed. As mentioned, kids' guest beds are also made out of high-quality wood, which offers the strength and durability needed for everyday support. The finishes and materials are child-friendly too.
Comfort level: Strong and sturdy, the guest beds for kids provide excellent mattress support for the soundest night’s sleep. You could even combine your purchase of a children’s guest bed with a mattress for a 10% saving, with us.
Assembly: Every bed we sell, including our children’s guest beds, will arrive flat-packed for your convenience. While this does make for a smoother delivery, it also means that some self-assembly is required. Make sure you have a screwdriver, a soft mallet, and a mixture of both Phillips and Pozidriv screw heads, as well as roughly an hour of your time. With detailed instructions, assembly shouldn’t require any major carpentry skills!
Cleanliness: With high-quality fixtures and fittings, as well as a tough outer finish, all our beds, including our kids’ guest beds, are designed to be easily cleaned and maintained. Simply wipe them down with a clean, damp cloth, and ensure all screws and joints are sufficiently tightened to ensure many years of happy use.
Types of kids’ guest beds
We offer a superior selection of kids’ best beds, designed to solve all kinds of challenges.
Kids’ guest bed styles
Our guest beds are mainly made up of children’s day beds. These multi-purpose bed frames can be transformed into a sitting area/sofa in the day, before becoming a traditional bed by night.
Though, that isn’t to say that our other bed frame styles couldn’t also be used in a guest room. In our collection, you’ll find:
Captain’s Beds: A type of platform bed, a captain’s bed features underbed storage in the form of drawers, cabinets, and cupboards.
Cabin Beds: Cabin beds are similar to a mid-sleeper bunk bed, featuring a raised sleeping platform that makes space for desks, storage, or other mattresses.
Teenager Beds: These feature slightly more grown-up designs, often featuring desk space and storage underneath the bed.
Kids’ Loft Beds: Loft beds are raised high from the ground (like a high sleeper bunk bed), making way for taller underbed storage underneath like wardrobes, study spaces, and bookcases.
Kids’ Trundle Beds: Trundle beds are designed to be versatile, featuring pull-out mattresses for sleepovers.
Kids’ Storage Beds: This collection of kids’ beds is designed to improve organisation around their bedroom. They feature various storage options, from cupboards and drawers to bookcases and wardrobes.
Kids’ guest bed materials
Most of our kids’ guest beds are expertly crafted using high-quality wood. The majority of frames are made from MFC (melamine-faced chipboard), which provides a tough exterior to protect the frame from splashes and spills.
Children’s guest bed sizes
Our kids’ guest beds are available in a single size, measuring 3.0” in width and 6.3” in length. This should be more than enough space for growing kids and teenagers. You should also allow for the combined size when the drawers and trundle components are slid out.
Need something a little larger, or smaller? We also have children's beds in these sizes:
Toddler Beds (2’3” x 4’ 7”): Toddler beds are smaller than standard bed sizes and are designed to be used by children aged one to four.
Single Kids’ Beds (3'0" x 6'3"): Suitable for most children over four years, as well as young teenagers, single kids’ beds are the second smallest size we have available.
Small Double Kids’ Beds (4'0" x 6'3"): Sitting between single kids’ beds and standard double kids’ beds, small double kids’ beds add an extra foot of width, while keeping the same length as a single.
Double Kids’ Beds (4'6" x 6'3"): Double kids’ beds are the largest available. They can comfortably fit two or three sleepers, if needed, with six more inches of width over the small double.
Please do get in contact if you’re in any doubt as to the suitability of a kids’ bed with guest bed.
