With comfortable kids’ mattresses and interesting and exciting bed frame designs, you'll find the perfect bed for your daughter, here.

The benefits of girls’ beds

Being designed with your daughter’s bedroom in mind, girls’ beds come with plenty of advantages, including:

Saving space: A kids’ bedroom is their own personal space, which usually results in clutter and chaos. Thankfully, children’s beds (including girls’ beds) are designed to take the strain out of organisation. By offering storage compartments under the frame, along with efficiently designed footprints, kids' beds help make the most of the space in a child’s bedroom, without taking it up unnecessarily.

Varied designs: Every child has a preference. To fit those preferences, we offer girls’ beds in several different designs. There’s upholstered options in bright colours, or traditional designs that are built to be practical. No matter what your kid desires, we’ve got the perfect bed frame for them.

Age-appropriate: With several sizes available, girls’ beds are usable by children from ages as young as 18 months. Starting with toddler beds and increasing all the way towards double kids’ beds, transitioning between smaller and larger sizes is a breeze.

Considerations when buying a girls’ bed

To make sure your daughter’s bed is the perfect fit, make sure you consider the following points:

Room size: Before you size up any potential bed frames, make sure you take accurate measurements of your daughter’s bedroom. Doing this can help you put the room into perspective, and help eliminate any unsuitable bed frames from your search.

Storage needs: Different children have different needs from their bed frame, especially when it comes to storage. Some will need large compartments for equally as large items, while others can cope with just a few cabinets.

Age range: As your child grows, their bed frame needs change. A teenager, for example, may require a quiet place to study and get their work done. Whereas a young child might prefer a space for play or keeping their toys out of the way. There are also some practical considerations to make with age. Children under four years of age, for example, shouldn’t be allowed on taller bed frames like mid or high sleepers.

Assembly: For your convenience, our bed frames arrive completely flat-packed. While this ensures a smoother delivery and easier handling, it does also mean that some assembly is required. To complete the job, you’ll need: a screwdriver (or a low-powered drill) with Phillips, pozi drive, or hex heads, and a soft mallet.

Cleaning: To keep your daughter’s bed looking its best, you’ll ned to keep it clean. Thankfully, maintaining a girls’ bed needs little more than a clean, damp cloth. You shouldn’t use cleaning chemicals on your daughter’s bed frame, as these can strip the finish.

Types of girls’ beds

Across our kids’ beds range, you can find many options tailored towards your daughter’s needs. This could be storage-focused bed frames, such as cabin beds or captain’s beds. This includes:

Girls’ bed styles

Captain’s Beds: A type of platform bed, a captain’s bed features underbed storage in the form of drawers, cabinets, and cupboards.

Day Beds: These multi-purpose bed frames can be transformed into a sitting area/sofa in the day, before becoming a traditional bed by night.

Cabin Beds: Cabin beds are similar to a mid-sleeper bunk bed, featuring a raised sleeping platform that makes space for desks, storage, or other mattresses.

Teenager Beds: These feature slightly more grown-up designs, often featuring desk space and storage underneath the bed.

Kids’ Loft Beds: Loft beds are raised high from the ground (like a high sleeper bunk bed), making way for taller underbed storage underneath like wardrobes, study spaces, and bookcases.

Kids’ Trundle Beds: Trundle beds are designed to be versatile, featuring pull-out mattresses for sleepovers.

Kids’ Guest Beds: From folding beds, to beds with trundles and even sofa beds, a kids’ guest bed can come in quite handy for sleepovers and parties.

Kids’ Storage Beds: This collection of kids’ beds is designed to improve organisation around their bedroom. They feature various storage options, from cupboards and drawers to bookcases and wardrobes.

Girls’ beds materials

Girls’ beds are mainly made of two materials: wood, or metal. Wood is used across multiple different types of furniture, making it a great choice for bed frames, too. Likewise, metal can be found in many pieces of furniture throughout the home, offering a slightly different style to that of wooden beds.

Girls’ beds sizes

Girls’ beds can be found in all standard kids’ bed sizes. This includes smaller options like toddler beds, as well as slightly larger single kids’ beds

Toddler Beds (2’3” x 4’ 7”): Toddler beds are smaller than standard bed sizes and are designed to be used by children aged one to four.

Single Kids’ Beds (3'0" x 6'3"): Suitable for most children over four years, as well as young teenagers, single kids’ beds are the second smallest size we have available.

Small Double Kids’ Beds (4'0" x 6'3"): Sitting between single kids’ beds and standard double kids’ beds, small double kids’ beds add an extra foot of width, while keeping the same length as a single.

Double Kids’ Beds (4'6" x 6'3"): Double kids’ beds are the largest available. They can comfortably fit two or three sleepers, if needed, with six more inches of width over the small double.
